We have just had a request from Noddy Watts (Mr Beach Hop himself) asking if we could send him some pics of the Coupe and a few words as he'd like to include it in this years Beach Hop Programme.
Just bought some new mags. An absolute steal on trademe. Janine wasn't so keen about me buying them and there had been a bit of banter going with a few of my mates so as a bit of a laugh I took some pictures of her cleaning them and I made it look as if I had made her do it, then e-mailed them off to them all.
My Grandson Oliver, Daughter Leisa and her partner Kane called in today. I took both Kane & Oliver for a ride. Oliver certainly enjoys his time in Grandpa's hot rod.
The Rengades Xmas run is held each year. Everyone brings their car along decorated with a Christmas theme of course and then we do a drive round the bays befor heading into Franklin Road in the city.
We decorated the Coupe up with some flashing Christmas lights and a Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer head that has a glowing red nose.
I was a bit concerned that we may have gone a bit over the top with our decortaions , but no, everyone else had really got stuck in too!
The Hot rods just take over and park in the centre of the street. The locals just love it though, withy all their xmas themes and lights, the cars just fit right in.
Once parked its a chance to wander up and down the street seeing all the Christmas lights. Its a real chance to reals start letting some of the Chrismas spirit soak in.
This is what its all about! Every car brings a toy or makes a donation. These are then gifted to the Slavation Armay for those families a little less fortunate and in need at Christmas.
