Renegades Christmas Lights Run

The Rengades Xmas run is held each year. Everyone brings their car along decorated with a Christmas theme of course and then we do a drive round the bays befor heading into Franklin Road in the city.

We decorated the Coupe up with some flashing Christmas lights and a Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer head that has a glowing red nose.

I was a bit concerned that we may have gone a bit over the top with our decortaions , but no, everyone else had really got stuck in too!

The Hot rods just take over and park in the centre of the street. The locals just love it though, withy all their xmas themes and lights, the cars just fit right in.

Once parked its a chance to wander up and down the street seeing all the Christmas lights. Its a real chance to reals start letting some of the Chrismas spirit soak in.

North Shore Rod and Custom Club Chistmas Toy Run

This is what its all about! Every car brings a toy or makes a donation. These are then gifted to the Slavation Armay for those families a little less fortunate and in need at Christmas.

North Shore Rod and Custom Club Swapmeet

North Shore Rod & Custom hold a twilight swapmeet at their clubrooms once a year. Its an okay event as far as swappers go, but for me I just really enjoy the social side.

Stragglers Cambridge

This was the first time we'd been to this event. I had heard good things about it so we braved a wet start in Auckland to give it a go. I'm glad we did go as the weather fined up in Cambridge and the event turned out to be every bit as good as we had heard.

We pulled in and parked and went for a wander about. When we got back to the Coupe another row of cars had been parked and look who should be directly opposite. Our previous car "Rose" the Rambler!

This car is owned by a guy by the name of Willy. The car is actually out of the same moulds as mine. It was good to see a finished one but looking at it you realise how much wirk is still ahead of me.

This boat was wicked. V8 powered of course. I'd love one of these behind the hot rod. Seriously cool.

Something for the kids.

This car is one of the giveaway cars for Beach Hop 2010. It had just been completed and this was its first outing.
